Who we are

Sonic Futures was created by LCC lecturer Dr. Chiara Minestrelli and May Garden Projects founder, Ian Solomon-Kawall.  As an academic project it join efforts among London College of Communication (UAL), May Project Gardens (Hip Hop collective garden) and London South Bank University (LSBU).

This collaborative venture was designed with the purpose to engage students in a series of dynamic practices and activities that explore the connection between social issues such as social cohesion, identity, sustainability and politics at the intersections of class, ethnicity, race, gender and environment. Hip hop pedagogy and permaculture are some of the approaches used to involve students participation and input.
